Stay Soft Sugar Cookies

2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
4 eggs
1 Tbs vanilla
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
8 cups flour
Mix together, bake at 400° for 6-10 minutes. Cookies don't brown.
